Link's Valiant Debut On The 3DS

Who has courage in spades, rupees by the hundreds and a love for the colour green? One of our oldest heroes returns for another swing at evil in all it's three-dimensional tenacity. That's right, the Legend of Zelda series will soon by riding onto the 3DS, and bringing with it some changes, as well as some nostalgia. Let's delve a little further into this announcement from Nintendo.

Okay, watched it? Good. Let's begin. A Link To The Past was the third game to wiggle its way into our hearts, and it is here that this new feature is to be set. In saying that, it has been confirmed that this is most definitely not a remake. It will be an all-new game in the same universe, with Link having a new bag of tricks to amaze us with. Least of these is the incorporation of the 3D mechanic, which will be necessary for players to judge depth and distance in-game. A new change that does interest me is that of Link's new ability. The player can now transform into a 2D drawing, allowing them to move along walls as graffiti or slip between jail bars.

There's no date on this new addition to Hyrule's heritage, but my guess is on a winter release date. Keep your eyes here for updates as they come!
